Abstract:

Sepsis is a common cause of ICU admission and one of the leading causes of death in ICU patients. Acute kidney injury is common with sepsis and is associated with mortality. With long-term pulmonary hypertension COPD patients may have pulmonary heart disease manifesting as right heart hypertrophy or even cardiac insufficiency, which seriously affects patients′ cardiopulmonary function. Here we report a case of senile pulmonary heart disease complicated with gastrointestinal perforation and septic shock in the Jiaxing Second Hospital. After successful treatment of low cardiac output, acute renal function damage and systemic stasis, the patient was discharged .
