Development of Critical Care Medicine Department in non-public hospitals: the experiences from Guiqian International General Hospital

Abstract:

While facing the problem of resource limitation, it became a big challenge how to innovate and develop the critical care team in non-public hospitals with a diversity model complementary to critical care resources of public hospitals in China. Guided by a culture rooted in "collaboration & contribution", based on quality improvement and practice standardization, driven by a plan of promoting physicians and nurses as well as characterized with a meticulous, stepwise management system of critically ill patients, critical care medicine department in Guiqian International General Hospital stands as a commendable example, showcasing valuable experience in cultivating critical care teams within non-public hospital settings.
