Abstract:

Pyogenic hepatic abscess with diabetes mellitus (PHADM) is a rare but severe life-threatening disease with a high mortality. Usually, it is difficult to diagnose due to lack of specific clinical symptoms and signs, especially the large size which is a poor prognostic factor. A PHADM case with septic shock and cardiac arrest serves to improve the understanding of the disease.
